Homemade Chicken Pizza Rolls

2 cups shredded cooked chicken

1 cup pizza sauce

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup diced bell peppers (red and green)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

1 package of refrigerated pizza dough (about 13.8 oz)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Olive oil for brushing

Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Prepare Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, diced bell peppers, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until everything is evenly coated.

      Roll Out Dough: On a lightly floured surface, unroll the pizza dough. Use a rolling pin to flatten it slightly if needed. Cut the dough into rectangles, about 10 cm x 10 cm (4 inches x 4 inches) each.

        Fill Dough: Place a tablespoon of the chicken filling in the center of each rectangle. Be careful not to overfill to prevent the rolls from bursting open.

          Seal Rolls: Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and pinch to seal tightly. You can also use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.

            Egg Wash: Brush each roll with the beaten egg for a golden finish when baked.

              Bake: Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet and lightly brush the tops with olive oil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

                Cool and Serve: Once baked, allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil if desired before serving.
