Zutaten
  

6 pork sausages (your choice: herbed, spicy, or classic)

1 kg potatoes, peeled and chopped

100 ml whole milk

50 g unsalted butter

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 large onion, thinly sliced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon flour

500 ml vegetable broth

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Anleitungen
 

Sausages: Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F). In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until they are browned on all sides. Transfer them to the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through.

    Mashed Potatoes: While the sausages are baking, place the chopped potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter and milk, then mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

      Onion Gravy: In the same frying pan used for the sausages, add the sliced onion and cook over medium-low heat until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute. Sprinkle in the flour, stirring to coat the onions. Gradually add the vegetable broth, stirring continuously until the gravy thickens. Add Worcestershire sauce if using, and season with salt and pepper.

        Plating: On a large plate, create a generous mound of mashed potatoes in the center. Place two sausages on top of the mash and pour the onion gravy over the dish.

          Garnish: Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top for a pop of color and serve immediately.
